Service Centers

The Service Center initiative is aimed at allowing the institution to achieve improved efficiencies while providing a higher level of service to the campus then it could provide before. To that end, the Office of the Provost is conducting an effort to review its own reporting units with the aim of creating opportunities that both improve the service level to faculty, students and staff, and enhance the working environment of individuals providing those services. The initial functions for review are:

  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Accounting/Finance
  • Marketing/Communications

Both individuals working in these units and those served by these units are having input into this process.

A presentation to the Provost Office Units' Service Center Initiative Steering Committee provides an update on the status of this project.

Other units are also exploring the use of service centers. The lessons learned from the Provost Offices' efforts will be leveraged across the campus.
