Swanlund Endowed Chair: Thomas Ulen
Thomas Ulen is Swanlund Chair, Director of the College of Law’s Program in Law and Economics, holds a position in Economics and the Institute for Government and Public Affairs, is a member of Campus Honors Faculty and a research affiliate of the Environmental Council. He has previously been a Visiting Professor in Belgium, Germany, Slovenia and a Ford Foundation Professor in Shanghai, China. Professor Ulen examines a variety of issues related to economics, legal scholarship, and legal education. He has recently completed two books, Cognition, Rationality, and the Law and Foundations of Environmental Policy. His book, Law and Economics has been translated into Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, French, and Russian. Professor Ulen was a founding member of the Board of Directors of the American Law and Economics Association.
